Staying on the 41st floor was a real treat with breathtaking views of Nanjing. The room was spacious with a huge bedroom and bathroom, although the service could sometimes be overwhelmed. The hotel's location was perfect for enjoying the sunshine and blue sky but was a bit far from the metro station. The dining experience provided a wide variety of local food options.
I stayed at Sofitel Nanjing for 3 nights in an executive double room. The hotel offers a very spacious, huge bedroom, and a huge bathroom. The room temperature during my stay was around 28-29 degrees. The breakfast was extremely good. The service was outstanding, with all staff being very polite, happy to assist with a smile, and ensuring an exceptional stay. The location is reasonably close to the train station but a bit far from the metro station. The dining options were varied and excellent, especially in the morning at Kwee Zeen. The facilities were top-notch, making my stay comfortable and pleasant.
The hotel offers a good night's sleep with prepared rooms, but service can be inconsistent, and towels may not be replaced promptly. Wi-Fi connectivity can be troublesome, but smoking is allowed in some areas.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of good and not-so-good experiences. The rooms, though spacious with a great view, had a slight funny smell that bothered me, possibly from cigarette smoke. The location was convenient, near the city center and Xuanwu Park. The service was excellent with accommodating staff, especially in the Club lounge. However, the dining options were hit or miss, with some dishes being either bland or overly salty.
I was upgraded to a better room which was spacious and comfortable. While not as good as the Ningbo Sofitel Wanda due to the older building, the room was still very spacious with a huge bedroom and bathroom.
